Working with IDS on a few of our recent projects has been nothing short of a pleasure. Apart from being punctual with their timing and communication skills, their designs truly stand out in the Jordanian market. Marriott has recently worked on two outlets with IDS; Jo's Midi at the Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa, as well as Il Terrazzo in Amman Marriott. Both projects were rather challenging design-wise, but IDS took on these challenges head first.
Jo's Midi
Jo's Midi required a modern cafe design that would be subsequently blend in with the colors and design elements of our lobby, as well as utilize some of the previous materials of the outlet to make the project more cost-efficient. The combination of wood, metal, and patterned-tiles gave an interesting touch to the walls and floors of the cafe, and pairing it with colorful, geometrical furniture made the interior extremely aesthetically-pleasing. Every detail was carefully thought out, and the end result yielded an innovative cafe design, that is cozy enough to make customers feel comfortable, but also classy enough to match the overall standard of our resort.
In addition to Jo's Midi, IDS has also worked on our Italian restaurant in Amman Marriott, Il Terrazzo.
In efforts to make better use of the space, we decided we needed to renovate the space completely and give it a modern, Italian vibe. This was, again, a challenging project. The use of wood, and a semi-industrial design on the walls and floor blended the classy with the modern, and pairing it with a grey-ish design on the open-kitchen, as well as the furniture, managed to somehow give off the intimate vibe that the small, traditional taverns in Italy do. The choice of the chair design, lighting, and table setting was impeccable; yielding a lively and bright atmosphere during lunch hours, and a romantic atmosphere during night-time.
Overall, we believe IDS is unique with regards to their work ethic and innovative designs, and they truly do stand out in the Jordanian market.
